An earthquake was experienced at Broom,e at 10.4 o’clock yesterday morning the tremor lasting for 20 seconds. In the Japanese and Chinese quarter of the town, residents rushed into the streets. Houses swayed and tanks rocked on stands, but no damage was caused.
