The visiting team of brqadsiders rode in hue. style at the Western Springs speedway last evening, there being keen competition between W. Phillips, T. Stevenson, E. Gregory, N. Key and B. Tauser. The Dominion champion, A. Mattson, was again! handicaped by motor trouble, although! he provided a severe challenge to- several of the visitors in different events. | A series of elimination races to de--! cidte the Auckland championship re-1 suited in success' for C. Goldberg. A. | Mattson, who is much superior to the j other local men, was not allowed to start as he has overseas experience.. Falls were frequent, but no rider was hurt.
