PLAN FOR SOCIALISATION AUSTRALIAN LABOUR AIM. FEDERAL ELECTION SLOGAN. CONFERENCE! SUPPORTS LANG. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) Received 11.30 a.m to-day. SYDNEY, Jan. 30. The keynote of a speech by Mr. J. T. Lang at a country Labour conference held at Goulburn was that the Australian people at the next Federal election should return a Labour Government pledged to unification and control of credit. The chairman (Mr. Keller) announced amidst tumultuous applause that he hoped Mr. Lang would be the next Prime Minister of Australia. Mr Lang’s speech was described by an official at the conference as the “new Federal Labour policy for the next Federal elections.” The conference carried a. resolution making the socialisation of credit the foremost plank of the Labour s policy at the Federal elections.
