N.Z. BUTTER EXPORTS
CANADIAN DAIRYMEN PROTEST APPLICATION FOR PROTECTION OFFSET TO N.Z. EXCHANGE RATE. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) VANCOUVER-, Jan. 26. With a large quantity of New Zealand butter due to arrive on Friday, the Provincial Agriculture Department is sending an urgent telegram to Otawa demanding action to protect British Columbian dairymen from any unfair competition. Hon. William Atkinson, Minister, said that if the shipments comply with the law, they must be admitted. Dairymen insist on a currency and dump duty to offset the depreciation of the New Zealand £.
