INJURED BY AMMONIA
EX-HAWERA RESIDENT IN HOSPITAL. ACCIDENT AT MASTERTON. Advice was received in Hawera this morning that Mr R. L. Ferguson, late of Hawera, was admitted to the Masterton Hospital suffering from severe burns to the face, received through the bursting of a vessel containing ammonia. Mr Ferguson was severely burned about the nostrils, mouth 'and eyes. He is progressing satisfactorily, but it will not be known for some days whether the sight of the right eye will be impaired.
