FURNACE DENIES GUILT.
STORY OF FATAL QUARREL. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegrapt Ocpyrfgbv. 1 LONDON, Jan. 18. During his illness Samuel James Furnace, says the “Daily Herald,” protested his innocence of the murder of Walter Spatehett, declaring that Spntehett was shot during a. struggle in which Spatehett wat the agrossor after a quarrel about a woman. The police are satisfied that Furnace had the poison with which lie took his life in the lining of his overcoat. SUICIDE BY POISONING. VERDICT AT*INQUEST. Received 11.45 a.m to-day. • LONDON, Jan. 18. The jury returned a verdict that Samuel Furnace, who had been accused of the Chalk Farm murder, committed suicide by poisoning.
