“MASTERLY INACTIVITY”
LATE EDITION
LABOUR ALLIANCE SCORNED FREEZING WORKERS’ CENSURE PLAYING PART OP NEUTRAL. tßy Telegraph—Press Association). AUCKLAND, Nov. 19. The Auckland Freezing Workers’ Union last evening carried the following resolution: “That this meeting, after considering the report of the Alliance of Labour on the freezing workers’ dispute, is of the opinion that the attitude of the alliance to the dispute is. fully in keeping with its traditional policy of masterly inactivity; that the report is merely an attempt to justify the alliance’s cowardly evasion of its responsibilities to the Freezers’ Federation, and that masterly inactivity has been defined as a part played by a neutral or Fabian combination, carried out with diplomatic skill so as to preserve predominant influence without risking anything.”
