As Campbell was about to throw the hammer either he slipped or the hammer left in a direction he did not anticipate and went towards, two boys sitting on a fence. Roth boys were knocked .from the fence. Stuart was struck on the side of the head while the other boy was struck only by the chain. The latter soon recovered, hut Stuart was removed to hospital.
