EVENING JACKETS

NEW SEASON’S FASHION ENSURING POPULARITY OF VET7d?r.

Elaboration of cut marks the new season’s evening jackets, which are more important than ever in the evening mode. Although they terminate at the waistline, and very often above it, 1 jackets now can add a good deal to the silhouette, bv immense pull sleeves, graceful flowing cape lines and a trim fit to accentuate the waist. The spring and summer will see vel- ; yet jackets still maintaining their I popularity, for they are such brief ! little garments that they will not give • uncomfortable warmth, hut merely | serve to cover the shoulders. Another return to Victorian fashions is the circular cape, which dips slightly at the back.
