VANDALISM IN CHURCH
RAIDERS ARMED WITH RIFLES ALTAR AND FONT AS TARGETS DESTRUCTION OF WINDOWS. NEW SOUTH WALES OUTRAGE. (United Press Association- By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) Received 11.25 a.m. to-dav. SYDNEY, Nov. 16. Armed with rifles a party of vandals damaged the interior of St. James Church of England at Kippilavv, near Goulburn. The altar cruets and font bowls were used as targets and blown to pieces. Bullets wore found buried in tilt' altar woodwork. A portion of the altar railing was shot away and three large windows reduced to fragments.
