COLONEL TREVOR DEAD
WELL-KNOWN SPORTS WRITER. United rress a efloclat-on —By Electric Telegraph Copvrigm.) LONDON, Nov. 14. The death has occurred of Colonel Philip Trevor, the well-known sports writer. The late Colonel Trevor was born m 1803, and was educated at Marlborough College ami Sandhurst Royal Military College. He served in the Burma Field Force from .1888 to IS9O, and took part in the Boer War from 1899 to 1902. During the. European War lie was appointed Assistant Director of Ordnance •Services, London District, and held the rank of Colonel in the Horse Guards. He was a well-known authority on cricket and Rugby football, being correspondent to the London “Daily Telegraph” for some years. Ho published several books oh both sports.
