AMERICAN RELIEF DEMANDS
AIARCHIES ON WASHINGTON. THREE PLANNED FOR DECEMBER, (United Presa Association—Bv Electric Telr.gra.pli Copyright..) WASHINGTON, Oct. 11. The Farmers’ National Relief Conference, an organisation growing out of the recent farm strikes at lowa and elsewhere in the middle west, to-day announced “a farm march upon Washington” about December 7. Between 500 and 5000 disgruntled farmers are expected to come in trucks and motorcars to present to the Government definite demands, including a moratorium for debts, rents, taxes and mortgages, postponement of foreclosures and tax sales evictions, also direct financial relief for indigent farmers. In view of the fact that a Communist march about December 15 is definitely planned and in view of the possibility' of another bonus expedition by ex-soldiers at about the same time, the police chief (Mr Glassford) has requested the officials to grant him complete authority' to evict if necessary' and so preclude the possibility of military action as against the bonus marchers in July r .
