Countess Beatty, whose death occurred recently, left £167,131 in Britain in addition to property elsewhere, amounting to millions of dollars, from the estate of her father, Mr Marshall Field, reports a London cable. The death occurred in- Gisborne on Tuesday of Mr A. M. Beale, a wellknown business man of the East Coast district and manager of the Waipiro Bay Trading Company, aged 74 years. Mr Beale was a keen cricket enthusiast and was president of the Waiapu Cricket Association.
