LODGE ASSEMBLY. INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS. (From Our Own Correspondent). The annual ceremony of the installation of officers of the 1.0.0. F. Star of O'punake No. 31 lodge was held on Monday night. Brothers Thomas and Trask acted as installing officers. The following officers were elected: P.G., Bro. L. C. Holmes; N.G., Bro. S. Richards; V.G., Bro. Iv. Mourie; conductor, Bro. C. King; warden, Bro. A. E. D. Lass; financial secretary, Bro. J. Harrop; recording secretary, Bro. R. Haseltine; treasurer, Bro. A. Clarke. After the ceremony a very enjoyable supper was provided by the local ■brothers. Musical items were given by Brothers Richards and Clarke. COMMUNITY SINGS. Community songs again filled the air at the Town Hall on Tuesday evening. As a result of the evening the Red Cross Relief Committee will benefit by about £ij. Resides the singing, which included several well known ditties, items were rendered by local artists These were : Pianoforte duet, Mrs. Malcolm and Miss Glengarry; sketch, Miss M. Fitzsimmons ; vocal solo, Miss Thelma Goad; cornet isolo. Mr. C. Humphries: Maori boys; pois, Maori girls; vocal duet, Mrs. Malcolm and Miss B. Johnston. Mr. T. P. Ilughson acted as song leader and Mr. D. Richards as accompanist.
