RAWER A CLUB MATCHES.
OCTOBER MEDAL ROUND
In the October L.G.U. medal round conducted by the Hawera Ladies’ Golf Club, Miss C. G. Robertson and Miss W. Knight tied with a net 76. Miss Robertson’s score was 80—4—76. and Miss Knight’s 93—17 —76. Other good scores were those of Mrs Whitehead, 92 —15—77 ; Mrs McAnerin, 94 —16 — 7S; Mrs Rota, 92 —9 —83; Mrs. Davy, 99—.16—83; and Miss V. Death, 97—• 14—83.
The junior medal was won by Miss M. Batchelor, 107 —33 —74. Other good scores were returned by Mrs Anderson. 109 —34—75; Mrs-. Kendall, 105 —30—75; Mrs Hunt, 97 —19 —78; Miss A. Martin, 98—19—79; Mrs L. Hall. 112—32—80.
Reductions of handicap'.were as follows: Mrs Corev, with 91, reduces to 18; Miss V. Death. 89 to 14; Miss F\ Murray, 97 to 20. This was a reduction of eight strokes for Miss Murrav. Miss Robb reduced to 25. Mrs Fendall to 28. Miss Batchelor to 30 and Mrs Anderson to. 32. This week the comnetition will bo a flag match for Mrs McAnerin’s 'trophy, players choosing their own partners. The Eltham Ladies’ Golf Club will hold the closing day of the 1932 season to-morrow (Thursday) and members of the Hawera Club are invited to take part in the afternoon’s play. During the week Mrs Rota: did' a round in 79. which is the best ladies’ score of this season. A.si Airs Rota was playing in a- match the score was not eligible for reduction purposes.
