COMPLIMENTARY SOCIAL

ROVERS’ HOCKEY TEA:At A complimentary social was tendered the Rovers ladies’ hockey team in the Islington Tearooms, Hawera, last evening by the Ramblers team, which congratulated Rovers .upon having won the South Taranaki championship. There was an attendance of approximately 5G guests. Dancing and musical items were enjoyed, the music being supplied by Miss P. McGlashan. A guessing competition for a box of chocolates was won by Air G. Graydon and a novelty waltz by Aliss I. Prime and partner. Air S. Catran, on behalf of the Ramblers, expressed the team’s pleasure to entertain the Rovers, Air C. J. AlcFadyen replying on behalf of the latter.
