POLICE FORCE CHANGES
PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS. (By Telegiaph— Association.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 1. The following police changes are announced: 1 Senior-Sergeant J. Martin (Dunedin), promoted to sub-inspector and transferred to Wellington, filling the vacancy caused by the promotion of Inspector Lopdell; Senior-Sergeant D. A. Mac-Lean i(Wanganui) succeeds Senior-Sergeant Martin at Dunedin, and Sergeant Capp i(Dargaville) succeeds at Wanganui, Senior-Sergeant Donisch (Wellington)' goes to Hastings; Sergeant J. F. Cleary is transferred from Wellington to Wanganui.
