TEXTILE STRIKE ENDING

MELBOURNE, Sept. 2. The textile strike has collapsed and work will be* resumed to-day on the employers’ terms. This wais decided by a meeting of 1000 operatives on a fourfilths majority. The stoppage began oil August 24 and involved 3,556 workers, causing a loss of £IO,OOO ill wages and rendering 12 mills idle.
