DEER HUNTER KILLED
AIISHAP WHILE CLEANING RIFLE TRAGEDY NEAR TAIHAPE. (By Telegraph—l’ress Association.; TAIHAPE, July 6. Peter Olipliant, Hastings, was shot at the Timahanga station, on the Tai-hape-Napier Road, ou Monday evening. He ivas sitting by a fire cleaning rifles after deer stalking with companions when the rifle was discharged and shot Oliphant in the head, killing him instantly.
