Francis Thomson, aged 51, leaped from the harbour bridge and was killed. His body fell alongside a Customs launch and splashed the officials. The crew of the launch saw the body hurtling through the air and the man was still alive when dragged aboard. He died later. . „ He leaves a wife and eight children.
