NELSON, June 10. Mr F. 0. Hamilton, Nelson, has been selected to represent the hop and. tobacco growers at the Ottawa conference. Bennett, the Prime Minister, lias announced a commemorative postage stamp series for the conference. FARMERS’ REPRESENTATION. VIEWS AT NEW PLYMOUTH. 1 Regret that Mr W. J. Poison, M.P., was not to go as the representative of the New Zealand Farmers’. Union to the Ottawa conference was expressed by members of the North Taranaki executive of the union at' its meeting at New Plymouth yesterday. “I felt that Mr Poison would be the fitting representative of the union,’ said the president, Mr H. E. Blyde, “but he assured me that he could not go at present, but that he could strongly support the nomination of Sir Francis Royes. Sir Frances Boyes is an exporter of meat,” said Mr Blyde, “and a strong believer in the quota system. ’ ’
