LIQUOR IN NO LICENSE AREA

FINES AT TA.UMARUNUI. TAUMAR.UNUI, May 28. (By Telegraph —Cress Association.) Albert John Gibbs was fined £lO at the Magistrate’s Court on a charge of storing liquor in a no-license proclaimed area. Wiiliam James Blackman, charged with selling beer and whisky and keeping liquor for sale, elected to be tried by jury and was committed to the Hamilton Supremo Court for trial. Joseph Leo Machin was fined £2O for keeping liquor for sale and £lO on each of three charges of selling .liquor. The above cases are a sequel to an extensive police raid in Taumaxunui.
