HONOURED WOMAN FLYER
ROYAL AERO CLUB RECEPTION. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 27. Mrs. Amelia Earhart Putman, who flew the Atlantic alone, was yesterday entertained by the Royal Aero Club at lunch and by the Royal Aeronautical Society at dinner. In each case she was the first woman to whom such an honour has been accorded. At the Royal Aero Club famous British flying women, including Lady Bailey, Miss Winifred Spooner and Miss Amy Johnson. were present to meet her.
