CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Rev. T. Keith Ewen null conduct both services at the Hawera Baptist Church to-morrow. His subject in the morning will be “The Far Spent Night” and in the evening “Christ’s Message to a Weary World.” Visitors will be cordially welcomed. At to-morrow morning’s service at the Salvation Army Hall at* Hawera, Adjutant MacKepzie will give an address entitled ““Christian. Maturity.’ while at the evening service the subject- “The Life of Christ,” will be dealt with by Major Perry of the Percy Jenkins Home, and will be illustrated with limelight effect. Adjutant MacKen zie is anxious that as many as possible of the people of Hawera should be present at this service. - The services at the Hawera Methodist Church will be held as usual (11 a.m. and 7 p.m.) and will be conducted bv the resident minister. In his evening address he will take as bis subject “Wars and Rumours .of War, but the end is not yet-,” the significance of tlie message, as one of confidence being indicated in the latter clause. In the morning the choir will render the items "“Sweet is Thy Mercy IBarnliv) with Miss. W. Mills as soloist. Tn the evening the choir will sincr. “Gomes at Times a Stillness, (Woodward).
