Charles Francis Riley, aged 38, a labourer, was charged to-day. with having in his possession for distribution on April 26 a document “Strikes, Strategy and Tactics,” which, it is alleged, advises lawlessness and .violence and expresses seditious intention. Tie pleaded not guilty and was remanded until Tuesday. Bail of £2OO was allowed. Riley is a well-known Communist.
