WORK FOR THIS WEEK

Tli© Hawera Unemployed Relief Committee this week received £2lB 18s from the Unemployment Board in Wellington for allocation as relief work wages. As the amount was insufficient to give every man his full quota it was decided to reduce the B and G class men by half a day each, work being called as follow: Ararata and Matapu schools, one C class man each; Hawera Main school, two C class men ; South Committee Egmont National Park Board and Joll Park (Okaiawa) one C class man each; Okaiawa school and P.O. one B class man each; Normanbv Town Board, six B class and four O class men; Hawera Hospital Board, one A class, 14 B and two G class men; Hawera Coun% Council, nine A class, 31 B class and 12 C class men; Hawera Borough Council, 4 A class, 28 B and 11 C class, men. Totals —A class, 14; B class, 82, C class, 35.
