Representatives of the Lancashire cotton industry during the week-end had an interview with the President of the Board of Trade, Mr W. Runeiman, says the ‘‘Daily Express.” It is stated" no definite decision has been reached regarding the tariff on cotton piecegoods, but the industry is confident thev will shortly be included in the schedule as it is possible to distinguish between competitive articles and goods used by British cotton manufacturers.
