WAGE CUTS IN BRITAIN
WORKERS AGREE TO REDUCTION
■ United Pres? Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) LONDON, Dec. 8. The Transport and General Workers’ Union has agreed to a tenpenny cut in the daily dockers’ pay throughout Britain. Piecework rates will also be reduced by 7 per cent, but no man’s weekly wage will be less than £2 10s. Arrangements have been made to place 160,000 men.
