WELLINGTON, Dec. 5. . It is generally understood m political circles that there is every prospect of the life of Parliament being extended four years. This, it is believed, will be one of tfie questions discussed it an early session is held in February. The opinion gained ground among members of the last Parliament that the three-yearly period was inadequate for policies to be put into proper operation. The election campaign did not reveal any marked hostility to this proposal whenever tjje question hapened to be raised, and public opinion is believed to be generally favourable. Should the life of Parliament be extended to four years there would be no licensing poll until 1935.
