MANAIA
(From Our Own Correspondent.) The euchre, ping pong, bridge and dance social held on Monday evening in St. Patrick’s Hall, Manaia, attracted visitors from as far afield as Pungarehu. Music was supplied by the Dixie Six and extras by Miss Gilhooley and Mrs. Avery. The euchre prizes were won as follows: Ladies, Mrs. W. Kerr 1, Miss Milner 2; men, Mr. F. M. Landers 1, Mr. A. Franklin 2. Ping pong winners were: Ladies, Miss Gilhooley (Pungarehu) j men, Mr. B. Brophy (Pungarehu). Messrs L. Hughes and M. Burke officiated as Al’sO. Supper was provided by the ladies. The filial social of the series will be held next Monday. The presentation of points prizes will then be* made.
