UNEMPLOYED AT HAWERA. WORK OF W.N.R. A mass meeting of Hawera unemployed, held in the Borough Council chambers on Saturday evening, passed a resolution dissociating themselves from the opinions expressed by speakers at the meeting of unemployed on Thursday evening, a report of which was published in Friday’s “Star.” The meeting also decided to forward a letter of appreciation to the Hawera branch of the Women’s National Reserve “for the splendid services they have rendered to the unemployed of the district.”
