MR. LANG’S APPEAL FAILS. NO INTERVENTION FROM HOME. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) Received noon to-dav. SYDNEY, Aug. 7. The “Telegraph” says that little doubt exists now that Mr. Lang’s efforts to secure the intervention of the Dominions Office in the constitutional situation have failed completely. He has been told in effect that the Governor is entitled to use his discretion.
