GERMAN BANKS RESUMING
REMOVAL OF RESTRICTIONS. STATE CONTROL LIKELY. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) ’ BERLIN, Aug. 5. Although the restrictions will not bo removed till to-morrow, many banks resumed operations to-day*, when the amounts paid in exceeded the withdrawals.
Dr. Brucning, the Chancellor, broadcasting to-night, indicated that the banks would be brought under the control of the Government. He declared that the emergency measures hail nothing to do with inflation. Depositors need not be afraid that they* would lose their hard-earned savings.
