METHODS OF SOVIET POLICE COUNTER REVOLT SUSPICIONS SEVEN WORSHIPPERS SHOT .DEAD. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) WARSAW, Aug. 5. It is reported from Vilna that an Ogpu detachment raided a Catholic church in a village near the Russian frontier, shot dead seven and wounded 14 worshippers and arrested 145. The leader of the detachment stated that he was informed that the meeting was of counter-revolutionaries holding church. The troops got out of control when refused 1 admission. The shooting has caused a panic among the Gntholie population.
