A man while walking home with his wages in his pocket was brutally assaulted and robbed in New Lynn about seven o’clock last night. The man, whose name is Harry Davis, is aged 60 and is employed by the Public Works Department in the country. He was within 100 yards of his home when he was attacked by two men from behind. One dragged him on to the footpath on lus face while the other stole Cl 6.
