Among the competitors in the poultry section of the Palmerston North Show this week was Mr iG. W. Clarke, of Hawera. 'He was successful in annexing the silver rose bowl, for the best black Minorca pullet. In the utility section (iMinorcas) Mr Clarke also secured first and special, third and li.c. in a big class of 21 pullets, as well as third in a class of 13 hens. At the annual meeting in Hawera to-day of shareholders of the Fanners’ Go-operative Organisation Society of New Zealand, Ltd., a motion expressing sympathy wjth the relatives of the late Mr. M. Fleming . a former member of the board of directors, was passed.
