BANKRUPTCY OF NATIVE
MEETING LACKS A QUORUM. A* meeting of the creditors to have been held in Hawera yesterday in the bankrupt estate of Toro Hetaraka, a native of Okaiawa, lapsed for want of quorum. The deficiency in the estate amounted to £IS6 Is and the assets nil.
The principal unsecured creditors are: jOurrie 'a nd Jack (AVanganui), £80; AY. J. Linkhorn and Co. (Hawera), £37 15s 7cl; AI. G. Good (Okaiawa,), £2O; L. A. Plant- (Kaponga). £l2; El. Tobler, £7 2s 6d; E. Penfold, £6 ss' 791, and A. G. Robertson, £4 7s 6d (all of Okaiawa). Bankrupt in 'his statement, said that he was a married man with five children. He was caught in the slump of 1921, having bought a, farm from one Walsderf. Whatever he had paid on that had been lost. He thought it was £ISOO. He had been struggling along since then, but certain creditors had been forcing him. Judgment summonses had been issued against him and he could not carry on. being compelled) to file.
