CESSION IN NEW HEBRIDES
FRENCH PROJECT NOT FAVOURED. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) LONDON, June 18. The Morning Post’s diplomatic correspondent understands that following the original suggestion from France secret negotiation have recently been progressing between France and Great Britain with a view to the latter’s cession of its rights in the New Hebrides, but that there is no intention of acceding as Australian interests must be considered.
