No hardship or unnecessary outlay of expenditure has been incurred by dairymen in this district with respect to the enforcement of anv of the regulations.
“It is interesting to learn that when the block system of farm dairy instruction commenced operations in Manawatu in the 1925-28 season the cost per pound of butter-fat for the service worked out at .0236 of a penny. The payment , for the 1930-31 season being based upon the 1929-30 figures, works out at. .0170 of a penny per pound of butter-fat,, or a decrease of 24.1 per cent in the cost per pound of butter-fat since 1925-26. In consequence.of the 10 per cent reduction in oil Government officers’ salaries as Prom April J. the services for the 1931-32 season will he further reduced to dairy companies.”
