DISPUTE OVER MISSING PROPERTY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 13. Alexander Lawson McLeod Hall, aged 58 years, was admitted to two years’ probation for sending a woman a- letter containing a threat to kill or harm her two sons. The letter intimated that the writer would induce the “Chinese Tongs” to secure for him the articles which he considered woie his property. . The judge said that accused had disparaged the British law, but that lav had been vindicated, and yet it could be merciful. Prisoner would be ordered to refrain from fui’ther threats.
