Blytli acted with Mr Syme o-n Saturday, and there were also- present Messrs L. O. Hooker, of Hawera, and Cobho. of the Chatem Tonga rim. They made a selection, which waft approved bv the hoard, of a site at about 5500 feet, and it is considered this will make an excellent location for the sport. During the visit Mr Syme with some of the members climbed Ruapehu and reached the two main peaks. Ruapehu and Paritutionga'. They left the hostel at 4.15 a.m. and were on the summit about 3 a.m., spending three hours there and much enjoying the wonderful views. Messrs Syme and Hooker returned to Hawera on Sunday evening.
