PRICE OF NEWSPRINT
NO EXPORT REDUCTION. NEW YORK ANNOUNCEMENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 2. It was reported in the newspapers recently that (Messrs Price Brothers Company, Ltd., have made an announcement from their New York office to the effect that the price of newsprint would be reduced by five dollars per ton from May 1, 1931. The New Zealand agents of Price Brothers have now received cabled advice that it is not contemplated any reduction will be made in the export- market.
