New Zealand's occupancy of the Em-; pi re Marketing Board's shop at Birmingham, which was Carried out under ■the direction of the High Commissioner, proved: a great success sq> far as publicity for the Dominion produce is concerned. New Zealand 'Occupied the shop for a fortnight .following on Great Britain. The displays in the windows and in the. Interior shop were carried out by the' High Commissioner's publicity and exhibition section, in conjunction with the New Zealand Produce Boards. In ia. fortnight the following samples were sold l»y til© stall's of the. produce boards concerned: 12,124 butter sami:piles at 2d., value £lOl Os 2d; 1 1-5,047 Cheese samples at Id, value £62 13s ltd; 4312 honey samples at fid, value £lO7 1.35: total, 31,483 samples of a value of £271 9s Ld. This means that through this enterprise New Zealand products were introduced in the period named into over 30,000 homes, and their quality tested. In. addition, a Large numbers of inquirers were directed where they eotilld purchase New Zealand tinned tongues, to her has, dried milk and other good’s.
