For the first time in fifty years Japan has been visited by a reigning monarch. On arrival at Yokohama, the King and the Queen of Siam were saluted by 21 guns from the cruiser Isuzu. The station and plaza were densely crowded and the royalties proceeded" to the Kasumigaveki Palace, where they will be staying with the Emperor, who will confer a decoration on the King and Queen. An elaborate programme of functions lias been ai-l-anged.
