HAWERA TRACK NOTES (By “Limited.”) Training operations on the Hawera course this morning were cajried out under fine but dusty conditions. Compulsory was restricted to half oaee work. Ban bridge and Mendip sprinted home th.fee furlongs in 40s ec. Chief Link and Silvermine worked separately over a couple of rounds at i. good haillf naioe, running home their last half mi Les respectively in 54)sec j ind 55)sec. Orazone was given slow work. Awaken and Silver Tinge galloped five furlongs in 1.4, the former going ;ho better at the finish. Goblin Market ran the hist seven i'urloiiigiS of his work in 1.4 Q., •Toyspear and Gasnapper had a good sot to over six furlongs, accomplished in 1.17). n , Paitonu and Bright Glow were both allotted easy tasks. Rereraoana, by himself, galloped four 'urlrings in 51see. A capital schooling bout over five fences was performed ibv the hurdlers, Ten-acre (W. Grindlay), Copey (H. iCook) and Airtight (1. Tucker). The pace was right on after the first fence and Ten-acre finished in front of C'opey with Airtight s-orne lengths back. The two-year-olds, Hampden and Bachaean, (broke 51-sec in a scamper over half a- mile. Miss Sheff and Royal! Acre were given strong pace work. Oalllamine and Tentoall got to the end of six furlongs in 1.18. Denier and Goldzone were given three-quarter pa'ce work. Biflex and) Whirl were given barrier practice. Ronogne, alone, went his half mile in oosec.
