WEDDING BELLS
COTTIER—CLARKE. The marriage was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church New Plymouth, on Thursday', February 12, of Catherine Mary (Kitty'), younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Clarke, New Plymouth, and Sydney William, John, second son of Mr. and. Mrs. S-. Cottier New Plymouth. The Rev. R. Fordham-Clark performed the ceremony, and Mr. R. Neville Rena-ud presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her brother, Mr. Frank Clarke, looked charming, in an anklelength French frock of shell pink georgette, trimmed with insets of guipure lace and embroidered in sprays of pastel shades. She wore a dropping straw hat of the same tonings. Pale pink satin shoes and a bouquet of roses and: maiden-hair fern completed a -pretty toilette. The bride was attended by her sister. Miss Dorothy Clarke, and Miss Marie Webster, cousin of the bridegroom, who both wore dainty frocks of floral geor-j gette an<l picture hats with crepe do | chine shoes and boquets to tone. ] The duties of best man and grooms-j man were carried out by Mr. Jaak-son ] Palmer and Mr. Shailer Cottier. ,
The reception was held at the Chequers, where Airs. Clarke received her guests wearing a frock of navy ceianese silk embroidered in autumn tints*, and a navy bankok hat and carried a bouquet to match. The bridegroom’s mother was attired in a. ismart black and gold frock with black hat and bouquet of autumn colourings. Later the happy couple left by car for the south the bride travelling in a blue and lemon three-piece ensemble, blue hat and shoes.
