He knew he had no money in the bank but issued a number of cheques, mainly to hotel-keepers. J.he excuse was made that lie had been on a drinking bout. , , For Ritchie it was. urged that he would lose his profession and it would ’-o necessary! for him to follow some other occupation. . He was admitted to probation ±oi l wc years and ordered to make restitution; also take out a prohibition order.
