ELTHAM SCOUTS
VISIT TO RALLY. REPORT TO GOMJNHTTEE (From Our Own Correspondent.) The monthly , meeting of the Eltham Scout committee was held last night. Those present were Mesdames Gover, Blackman, and Williams, Messrs Bndger (chair), Gover, Bourke, Harrison (secretary) and Blackman (Sooutmas■ter) • The Scoutmaster reported that 19 boys had made the trip to Wellington to join in the reception to the Chief Scout, Lord Ba.den-PoweU, accommodation being provided at Wellington by the chairman of the Brooklyn troop and other friends. The boys thoroughly enjoyed the trip and made the most of their spare time in seeing the various places of interest in Wellington. The visit was a great success and the reception was an outstanding feature, approximately 10,000 Scouts and Guides talcing part. The local work was proceeding satisfactory. Regular parades are- being held and the strength of the troop wa6 the same a® last month. Two new members had been added to the cub membership roll. ..... , Cuibmaster George Morton was given a seat on the general committee........ It was decided to- write the chairman of the Brooklyn troop conveying the committee’s thanks and appreciation of the hospitality shown the Scouts while in Wellington. „ The matter of attending the Easter camp- at Toko was discussed, but no action taken for the present. . '
