LONDON’S ROUSING RECEPTION
BRITISH CAR EFFICIENCY. TRIBUTE TO WORKMANSHIP. (British Official Wireless.) Received 12.30 p.m., to-day. RUGBY, Feb. 20. Sir Malcolm Campbell had a to using reception from large crowds on his arrival in London to-day. In "Westminster Hall he was welcomed by the Minister of Transport (Mr. Morrison) and the Secretary of the Department of Overseas Trade (Mr. Gi'llett). Mr. Morrison said that- Sir Malcolm Campbell’s record was an invaluable tribute to the efficiency of British engineering. Sir Malcolm Campbell replied that he was proud if he had helped to cement the friendship between the United States and Britain and uphold British traditions. He was later given a reception,at the Auto Club, when he said that his succuess was,due to the excellence, of British workmanship.
