PRINCE ANNOUNCES ENGAGE-
AIENT
INTENSE, INTEREST IN SWEDEN

Despite the disapproval of the King, the Prince lias officially announced his engagement. This coincides with an official communique pointing out that the constitution forbids marriage without consent. In consequence Prince Lennart will lose all the rights of a Swedish prince. It is probable that lie will be known in future as Air. Lennart Wilhelmson. He will also lose Castle Alainau, Lake Constance, valued at £75,C00, and certain jewellery. Nevertheless. the Prince has a considerable personal fortune. The whole country has taken sides in the controversy and is anxiously awaiting the next move in the drama. A few have dared to predict that the Prince will flagrantly oppose the King and it is expected that he and his bride will depart from Sweden and be married abroad.
